The FACTORY DIAGNOSIS DIAGRAM – An Efficient Tool for Quality Control
نویسندگان
چکیده
During electroplating or heat treatment operations parts are usually mounted on plating or charging racks, which can for practical purposes be described as position matrices. An optimized production process should exhibit no significant changes in the quality characteristics of the products after going through the production cycle regardless of the product's position within the matrix. Measurement results taken from a random sample of finished parts over a number of predetermined rack locations can be displayed easily in a Factory-Diagnosis-Diagram (FDD), which is introduced in this paper. The descriptive nature of this type of diagram truly provides an "at a glance" display of essential quality related information. Weaknesses in a manufacturing process or a production line become evident, without the need for complex data analysis. The advantages of the Factory Diagnosis Diagram, highlighted in this paper can be applied beyond example application to nearly all areas of production. __________________________________________________________________

Investigation of the Effect of Control Measures on Reduction of Risk Events in an Edible Oil Factory in Tehran, Iran
Background & Aims of the Study: Identification of hazards is one of the first goals of risk analysis. Failure mode and effect analysis method (FMEA) is universally defined as efficient procedures for finding potential failures aimed to remove or decrease the risk which is related to them. This study aimed to investigate the effect of control measures on reduction of risk ev...

Statistical process control is an excellent quality assurance tool to improve the quality of manufacture and ultimately scores on end-customer satisfaction. SPC uses process monitoring charts to record the key quality characteristics (KQCs) of the component in manufacture. This paper elaborates on one such KQC of the manufacturing of a connecting rod of an internal combustion engine. Here th...
متن کاملA DMAIC approach for process capability improvement an engine crankshaft manufacturing process
The define–measure–analyze–improve–control (DMAIC) approach is a five-strata approach, namely DMAIC. This approach is the scientific approach for reducing the deviations and improving the capability levels of the manufacturing processes. The present work elaborates on DMAIC approach applied in reducing the process variations of the stub-end-hole boring operation of the manufacture of cra...
متن کاملUse of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis in Improving Safety: A case Study in An Oil Company
Introduction: The Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), first of all, identifies dangerous modes in a process and, then, provides proper control measures that are required to reduce the level of risk. This study aims to investigate the risk level before and after the implementation of control measures in an edible oil factory. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in an edibl...
متن کاملModeling, Implemetation and Simulation of Virtual Factory
− The Real-time Colored Petri Net (RTCPN), a modification of traditional Colored Timed Petri net, is proposed to describe virtual factory. In RTCPN, firing discipline differs from traditional way in that the concept of time-enabled transition is introduced to implement real-time simulation. In this paper, we address how to describe virtual factory using RTCPN model. Combined with block diagram,...
